Hi

I have been told this exhaust system was not original to the 1999 C5 via a person on Facebook. I am new to these vehicles and do not know these things, so any help is deeply appreciated.

Any idea from the pic's what aftermarket system it is?

Doesn't look original. I believe original tips were oval shaped. Do the mufflers have any info on them?

The stock exhaust tips in 1999 were painted black, oval and smaller in size than the tips on your car and were inset more. Those could be Corsa Hot Tips that are clipped on to the stock tips which was a popular appearance mod or it could be an aftermarket exhaust system but I can't tell from that picture. Can you post close up a shot of the mufflers and tips?

I agree with Mike - the exhaust tips currently in your car are aftermarket additions, but the mufflers could be the original ones. Post up a pic of the mufflers and a more definitive answer can be given.

When I got my '98 new there wasn't much available in aftermarket exhausts so I bought the tips that made it look better. If your tips look removable, you have the stock mufflers with the custom tips. I bought them from Mid-America.
