RPM would be a straight shot up I40 for you to exit NC42 - they are LS experts and have done great work for me.

I use the place that dadaroo is thinking of for all of my Corvette work. It's an hour and a half down from M/B, but they do fantastic work.

As mentioned by Scott5, National Speed is just up the road in Wilmington, 6779 Gordon Rd. They're big with the SCCA folks here and support most high performance platforms. If you're into autocrossing, they can certainly hook you up with the Cape Fear Chapter of the SCCA. (910)-933-0027

Check them out and if they can't help you, they will know who can in the Wilmington area.
