Dennis,
What has to be done insofar as the mounting of the unit into the console? Do you take out the factory radio's bracket and replace it, or ????????

Double D. Been looking at doing a double DIN but really, in my old 99, this looks like a great deal especially with the BT, aux in, iphone and Droid charging etc. and since I use my Droid for navigation, it's all good in that realm.
So, my question are:
1) still available?
2) plug and play for the most part?
3) any issues with the stock Bose speakers?
4) does it come with "*1: KCA-iP102: 30-pin type, KCA-iP103: Lightning type" ? If not, how much to add it to the package, if you have it?
5) anything else I should know since my family has both iphones and Droids?
sure I have more but all I can come up with at this point. Had a Kenwood BT in my last play car (2001 BMW Z3 3.0) and loved it. This updated unit has me excited actually if it's a simple install...heck, even if it's not, still be excited to have aux etc. vs the standard OEM deck.

2) plug and play for the most part? You will need to connect 1 wire into the car
3) any issues with the stock Bose speakers?no this is what the roemvet1 portion of th epackages covers
4) does it come with "*1: KCA-iP102: 30-pin type, KCA-iP103: Lightning type" ? If not, how much to add it to the package, if you have it?no they are optional but you really dont needthem as just use the cable that comes with your phone for charging
5) anything else I should know since my family has both iphones and Droids?
nope. Works with both

Dennis,
2 more questions for now... 99 Vette
1) where are we mounting the BT mic's nowadays ? Been researching the site but can't find a definite place to mount. One post said on top of the steering wheel and I remember on my Z3, it was mounted up high near the pivot area of the driver's visor. Any suggestions please?
2) confirming phone calls will be heard via the stock car speakers ?
Thanks again for the quick response and shipment of the radio

Thank you...
I only had about 2 hours of time this morning (after 1am) to tinker and didn't want to call you at that time
