Default Nittos Installed! NT05R 305/35r19

I'm VERY pleased. They fit great and hook (for now) I don't feel I've lost much, if any, handling...but I don't really race the car around corners. The size is 305/35/19 and the wheel is a 19x10 ZR1 replica. I like the proportion from a side view and the tires are almost perfectly flush with the rear quarters. I've driven a couple hundred miles so far around town and took a few hard dips on the highway after checking clearance and indeed, no rubbing on the outside of tire.

Nice choice in wheels - they look good on the car. Kind of hard to tell by the second pic, but it looks like the tires do stick out beyond the fender wells a little bit. Could just be the angle though.

Are those tires a good choice for dry and wet, thinking of a 305 for the rears on my next purchase, but don't want to be on pins and needles if I get caught in the rain

Yes, just not side to side, and make sure correct height.

great tire, I run them on the rear of my car and they have served me well... I need to replace them soon and torn between another set or trying out the mickey thompson et street s/s... how much power is your car making?... to the poster above asking about wet traction, I try my best not to drive in the rain but I got caught in a moderate storm once and I was able to do 70 on the highway and it didn't feel sketchy but always use caution... if you have to daily drive the car drag radials may not be the best since you have no choice whether to drive it or not and they will not last very long

Living in Austin, we don't see rain often so when it does rain I drive my X3. These wouldn't be a daily tire if it was my DD.

It's the angle, they tuck under load. Maybe an 1/8" past when setting level.

The car is stock other than Corsa Indy. The Bridgestone RE760 had no traction in 1st under medium throttle and 2nd gear spun bad under full throttle.

Thanks for sharing this. After much research, I recently opted for a set of the RE760's in OEM sizes on my 01Z. Ride is great & does OK in turns, but straight-line traction is just as you described, maybe worse due to the lower gearing in the M12.

*I should've pd the $$ for Michelins but rationalized that I would just pick up a spare (stickier) set of wheels/tires.

Glad to hear your new combo is treating you well! I wouldn't mind meeting up sometime to see what your wheel color looks like up against my Quicksilver paint.

I got rid of the Bridgestone out back ASAP. The Nittos hook great and actually softened the ride a bit. Let me know about meeting up. I'm fairly new to Austin and would love to meet other gearheads!

I got the same tire but in a 315/40/18. I'm kinda nerves that they will not fit.

They should depending on the offset. It's only 3/8" wider and I've got more than that on the inside. My rim is 10" wide though so wider would look bubbled. They already curve into the rim as it is.
