I'm very old 61.9. I like chrome. A lot. Not to pick on akapounder, but look at his picture. I cannot see ANY of the details of the wheel. Like I said, I like chrome. Please continue.

I like the chrome or the black on the yellow... Just dont like the lettering on tires...

I myself prefer chrome!

Just my 0.02

black wheels lack depth and detail, polished or chrome reflect all sorts of colors and light back to your eye! Black especially flat black is well... bla and hides the curves and lines of the wheel.
Jmho
Sorry jumpinjer I agree with you also I was typing at same time as you just slower

And the colored tire lettering on either wheel is not going to look good on a Vette

For the record I like polished aluminum alloy better than chrome it is a subtle difference but I think chrome can sometimes look cheap.

It only matters that you like them since everyone has a different opinion.

I disagree, I think black looks great on cars. I just put black concave wheels on my artic white.with the glass roof being black I just think it flows better. Adding chrome or whatever other color adds to many different colors and doesn't flow. Just my two cents.

Taking this rare opportunity to test out how it feels to agree with ddarryl.

Feels really unnatural. I live by an "anything but black" lifestyle.

That only goes for wheels obviously, because:

If you're younger, you'll probably prefer black . . .but no matter how you slice it---that back wheel with the big yellow letters is fugly!
Chrome just looks so much better to me.

I'm 56 and hate Chrome wheels on just about anything. Alloy or dark greys to Black. Especially on the Sports Cars....These are not a pimp's caddy. Just my opinion though, to each their own.

For me, it depends on the wheel whether or not I would like them in black. For your particular wheels, I think black looks much better.

Esser, I love the looks of your ride, but the black wheels... what are they? Take a look at your pic. They could be painted wagon wheels and they'd look almost the same. In certain light, black wheels pick up some definition and look better (like the OP's yellow vette - the black wheels are in bright light and you can make out how they look) but much of the time the black is just that. No definition. I fully respect your wishes and will fight on your side always to defend your choice. Just not for me.
