All of the adds claim that the diamond cut lenses have a better appearance than the stock lenses. Mine look old and dingy and I thought they might dress it up a bit.
They probably will. Mine are still in pretty good shape. I was very surprised at the difference these lights made. I was all set to buy the new lens, also, but I found I didn't need them.
