Opinions On New Rotors and Brake Pads
I've decided to upgrade my rotors and brake pads in the coming weeks, and would like some opinions before I make my purchase. I'm not looking for an increase in performance, but it would be a welcome surprise. I'm looking for an aesthetic upgrade to the stock C5 rotors, and brake pads that perform as well as stock, but dust MUCH less.
I've read countless threads on this forum and others, and have tentatively decided on BrakeMotive rotors. F+R rotors and 8 brake pads run $205 on the auction site, and I'm finding that deal very hard to beat. Are the pads they supply sufficient for a lightly modded Z06? No track use- strictly street driving. I've seen other pads advertised, and I'm sure they're great, but I'd rather not spend an arm and a leg for overkill brake pads. Sorry if I'm coming across as being cheap, but our wedding is on October 16, and need to save every last penny I can.
Any other alternatives or opinions would be welcome. Thanks very much fellas.

These seem to be really popular lately on the C5 forum. Nothing but good reviews.

Ordered my new rotors and pads this morning. $192.** shipped. Hard to beat that price. Hopefully I'm as satisfied with Brake Motive as most others have been. I'll try to start the install this weekend, in addition to sending out my ECU for a mail order tune. In a few weeks time, it should look (and hopefully drive) like a brand new car.

I'm going to do Brakemotive when the time comes.
At 48K on the car now, the pads still look to have a lot of life left. We only drive around town and short highway stints. How many miles do you guys get out of OEM pads with normal driving?

Baer Eradispeed plus 2 ( 2 piece rotors ) .. these rotors have 80,000 miles on them and are 14 years old.
I would buy another set in a heart beat, if I actually needed them. You asked for opinion.

Brakemotive rotors and pads here also. Had them almost a year. Couldn't be happier. They're on my S2k as well and perform just as good there. Can't beat the price.
