Hey I just got my C5 Vette a month ago and it's killing me not being able to play music off my iPhone but when I spoke to car toys and Best Buy they told me I can't put a double din in my car and I really don't like the single just reminds me of the 90s I know it can be done what's do y'all think on this?

I'm really wanting the screen if I would of had it my way I would of got a new C7 but I didn't wanna give up my Trans Am so in order to have both I got an older vette just trying to update it

Good luck with your new car and welcome to the forum. If you go ahead with the double din conversion you will have a myriad of other modern conveniences added to your car. You can have in-dash navigation, back up camera, bluetooth, satellite radio, pandora and other music sources all built-in to the radio. For all those features the conversion is somewhat reasonable. The whole package including getting the dash bezel modified cost me in the $700 range. The best mod I've done to my car.

If this pic loaded properly, it's a pic of my interior. The bezel was modded by DoubleD, it's a Kenwood DNX691HD, shifter boot and e-brake by Vetteessentials, Custom designed and embroided armrest by Redline Goods. The bezel and armrest console were covered in leather by myself.

He can set you up with a double DIN stereo, NAV, etc. and modify your radio bezel to make it all fit.

. Like others have mentioned, you cant beat the fit and finish of Double D Mods. I too just ordered a bezel and double din unit. Jensen VX7022. Built in navigation, bluetooth, hands free, reverse camera, satellite radio....a great package deal for $800!! Well worth the upgrade and I cant wait!

Like the others have said, Dennis at DoubleD can hook you up with turn-key package at a great price. I'd select a head unit with Apple Car Play and add a "stealthy" rear camera to assist backing up.

Just got my kenwood (from Dennis @Double D mods). There was a black friday deal. Had it installed and love it now. Easily brings the 90's car into this time period. Package comes with a reverse camera and all the installation parts. Apple Car Play is a pretty neat thing if you can get that.

Another bump for Dennis at Double D Mods. Did my car a few years ago and am seriously thinking about upgrading the head unit to get Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
