Default ANY suggestions for finding "Golden Rods"

Does anyone know of a source for a replacement set (both driver and passenger" headlights "golden rods"? I've searched a few places and all I seem to be coming up with, if anything, are complete headlight assemblies. Both my driver and passenger side golden rods are broke off and I can't adjust my headlights at all. With my ACA lights and HIDs I'd like to adjust them a bit lower and to the right so as not to throw as much light into on coming traffic on the two lane roads I'm commuting on. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Some of the cars Marc receives (probably the majority?) have been punched in the nose such that one, or both, headlight assemblies have sustained severe damage. That being the case, he is more than willing to sell individual component pieces or subassemblies, etc.

Give him a call, he's a good man.

Wow! Just for the heck of it, I went over to the big auction site and look what I found:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-2004-Co...BWuWvZ&vxp=mtr

Get it while it's HOT!!!!

This seller is a veteran Ebay vendor that sells a lot of recycled parts and often has Corvette items.

Anyone else that has broken rods and has the piece that broke off, here is a suggestion for a repair. As long as you have enough room (depends on exactly where the break occurred) you can try using this:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-sh...lings/=111xiqk

http://www.mcmaster.com/#6412k9/=111xr4t

I narrowed this one down because it's the smallest inside diameter I could quickly find. At 3/16" it may be a tad too big, but a simple sleeve made from brass tubing (think hobby shop or craft store) might slide over to make it just large enough for the coupler. They've got others, but I didn't take the time to look through all of them.

One thing's for sure, you would HAVE to free up the adjuster mechanism first as these little couplers can't stand too much torque.

Hobby shop may also have these in small sizes maybe used by RC model car racers, builders, etc. Something to think about.

That's a bargain!! They look like they may need freeing up also? Not hard to do.

I was having trouble freeing mine up and bought a full set from Marc at Vettnuts but ended up not using them. I'm keeping them for spares. I have a set of ACAs coming also.

We have nice rods in stock that we make sure are in perfect working condition for $30 each. That Ebay listing is a great price as long as its a good working unit.
