Hey, it's only fair! Besides, then you'll have two to play with!!

I would suggest a coupe and a Z06. That would give you the best of both ends of the C5 spectrum!

Know the feeling.
Got my Z06 out yesterday for a couple of hours. Wife went with me to one of our favorite restaurant. I had some distance from me and the upcoming traffic from a stop sign. Nailed her up to a healthy fourth gear pull and my wife responded with, "Man, I love this car!"

I'm lucky my wife can't drive a stick so she doesn't touch my Z06.

The wife grew up on manual trannies. So the 6 speed stick didn't slow her up.

Get a convertible and then you will have the best of two worlds.

Another great reason for a manual. My wife drives stick but the kids don't.

Very Cool !

On a side note: I kinda wish my wife was enthusiastic about just cars in general.....I purchased my C5 in Dec. 2010 and my wife has been in the car TWICE . She could care less. Can't tell you how many times I have been told , after making a comment while on the road and seeing a Vette, about how she doesn't care what kind of car it is, it's a waste of money, she's not interested , etc, etc.

My wife is the one who brought up a Corvette as my next car 2 years ago. She helped my searching, even found this Z06 for sale. Met the guy and bought it on the spot.
She's not quite 5'-2" so visibility is a bit tough for her, but she still takes it out a few times a year.

My ole' lady is cool. She ordered this last spring and demanded a 6 speed manual. Salesman was shocked, especially the day we picked it up and she left the lot like a bat of hell.

My ex wife was just like that. My wife talked me into buying my vette.

My old lady refuses to drive anything but manuals. If you guys think I'm a dick when it comes to automatics, you should hear her talk.

One day soon we'll get her something else to drive, either a 6 speed coupe or another z06. Personally I wouldn't mind her getting something like a coyote mustang but she thinks they're too boring and generic.

Same thing at my house. I have a 6 spd coupe, she's getting an auto convertible. Probably an 08 or newer. You know, a few more ponies never hurt!

Not one thing wrong with having two Vettes in the garage.

My wife drives a Harley Sportster and I'd love to see her get rid of it. Many times I've told her to get rid of the bike and we'll buy another corvette for you. Or, a Duece Coupe, Rat Rod or some other toy. So far it's in one ear and out the other. My wife has had both hips replaced and one knee due to arthritis and is leaning toward having the other knee done this summer. You would think she learned after she layed the bike down once a couple years ago, luckily not going fast.
I even attempted to talk her in to a Trike, and she say's she's not ready to be frumpy. :-o She loves those 2-3hr rides with her girlfriends on a nice afternoon or riding for a cause.

I can't give a Corvette away :-)
