Well, it's hard to believe, but today is my 2nd year anniversary with my 03 Z06. Here is a photo taken below, of when I picked this beauty up just outside of Chicago, 2 years ago today. My Valentine

I had to search for a while, and the funny thing is, a buddy of mine who's wife had a C5 Vert, found it for me. I wrote down the exact car I was looking for, (year, model, and color) and told him it had to be basically new, and he took it as a mission.
It only had 1793 miles on the clock and was absolutely bone stock. I couldn't believe I finally found the exact car I was looking for.

A good story to go with my purchase experience, I went to the bank on the 12th of Feb. which was a Wednesday, to get a cashiers check and the lady asked me out of curiosity what I was buying. I told her a Vette, which sparked a great conversation about her son who was in the Air Force and had a C6. She asked me if I had heard about the museum falling into a sink hole that morning and I told her, yeah right! She went and got her IPhone and pulled up the story on a local news site and I was both stunned and sickened. I was working mid-night shift and had gotten up earlier than normal to go get the check and hadn't heard about it.

Anyways, I got off work at 4AM on Friday morning (Valentines day), and my buddy was sitting in the driveway with his truck and a borrowed trailer, and we went up and got it, and got back home at 11PM that night. I was dog tired, but the adrenalin of owning my first Corvette, which was a life long dream and early retirement gift to myself for 30 years of law enforcement, kept me awake and excited the whole trip.

when i bought my 1st corvette (03 TR zo6) the car was in des moines ia, the owners was leaving 5am the next morning for a 2 week trips we went back and forth for a few hours he wanted me to wait till he got back (I wanted the car that day) I simply text him saying that if i didnt pickup the car that evening i'd buy one by the time he got back sent a pic of the money he text'd me back his address. my son, nephew and i left my driveway at 8pm got to him at 2am and was back home in bed by 9am with sore cheeks from smiling the whole drive home lol

my mom lives close to that dealer, I seen that car there in person very nice z
