Urethane front lip
Hey guys, I've started making stuff with a new manufacturer and we want to make some smaller stuff such as lips, wings etc. Anyway, I've always thought that combining our vortex lip with our C5R lip would look really good. Of course as mentioned in the title it would be made out of urethane, so in other words it will not break if you bump a curb or pull into your driveway and scrape it.
I'm not set on that design but it would be something different than what available and would look and fit really well. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this? I could probably get this started in a few weeks after we get our C5 diffuser project done. Here's a couple pictures of the Vortex and C5R lip.

I think that looks great.

On the splitter, is there an opening in the center for airflow to the radiator? If so it would be a natural or the HPDE crowd. It looks like the C5R design works best for getting improved air flow to the fog light area for those running VeraRam intakes.

Ah man right when I finally got a CF Vortex lip you guys are thinking about combining it with the C5R lip. Which by the way I wanted the C5R lip but it didn't meet up with the bumper like the Vortex, it just looks somewhat like a generic fit-any-car-lip. If you guys combined the two I think it would sell very well, I might even put mine up for sale to fund this at a later time when a CF option is available.
Def subscribing.
On a side note, did that one member who got the C7Z style skirts ever post pics, or updates? I think those skirts with this new lip could be a great combo.

I would be interested as well. Both chin spoilers look pretty nice so a combo of the 2 might be a hot seller.
A chin spoiler and side skirt combo would be really nice as well... hint hint
Since you mentioned the illusive C5 diffuser..... I would be more than on board if these products did provide some level of function or could be made in a way where function could be added by the purchaser (ie adding a trimmed sheet of ABS Plastic to the bottom)

Thanks guys! I will speak to manufacturing about this. I will see if when they make it if they can use existing holes underneath the bumper so no additional drilling has to be done. These new guys include hardware etc for an easy installation.

Not sure what you mean by combining the two, but urethane would be good. I recall you posting regarding a urethane lip in the past. I like the Vortex more than the other.

So you see how the Vortex lip mounts to the front bumper? It's contoured and actually follows the bumper whereas the C5R lip is simply a flat mount-to-the-bottom "generic" looking lip. He's basically going to take the C5R lip and shape it so that it mounts to the front bumper exactly like the Vortex lip. Or shape the flat lip portion of the Vortex to have the same profile as the C5R lip. Either way it's the same, so six in one hand, half a dozen in the other.
