That's a c6 - Indy 500 Pace Vert, model year 2007, retailed for $66,995. Only 500 of them built. Made 500 more of them for model year 2008, some at $59K, some at $68K.

Saw one just like that yesterday here in town. I've seen several over the years at various car shows. Not a bad looking car.

The 2007 Corvette Indy Pace Car edition was a convertible only and the paint color was Atomic Orange.

The black car in the picture above is a replica of the 2008 Indy Pace Car. There were 500 made and 2008 was the first time buyers could order a coupe or convertible replica. The 2008 Indy Pace cars were convertibles.

I believe they had Emerson Fittipaldi's signature on the passenger side rear fender.

The Z06 was an E85 car.

At the race - they used the coupes and the convertibles.

That is an awesome pace car. FWIW, Emerson Fittipaldi drove the pace car that year; he won the 500 in 1989 and 1993.

I'm kind of an Indy 500 freak. Been going to the race since 1974.

And Fittipaldi is the only winning driver that refused to drink the milk in Victory Lane since they started the tradition in 1936. He drank orange juice because he owned an orange plantation in Brazil.

You're right, so it must be a 2008.

All 500 made for model year 2007 were verts. Model year 2008, they built 234 coupes and 266 verts.

I wonder how long Emmo drove his Z before he dropped a valve?
