Automatic Shift **** Options?
Hi.
So I was reading around and I seriously can't find a thread or website that actually talks about this subject. Maybe there is one, but I couldn't find it. I'm looking to replace my factory shift **** in my 1998 C5. It's an automatic shift ****, and the button is beginning to stick, making it hard to push down. I'd rather look into getting a new one rather than fixing it, so does anyone have suggestions? I don't want the same shift ****. Any ideas?
Also, if I wanted to put a manual shift **** onto it, where would I find an adapter and how would I go about doing that?

As for using an adapter and a manual shift ****, a number of the forum vendors sells the adapter. Try for instance Ecklers, Mid-America, West Coast Corvette, and others to see who has them and at the best price.
In the mean time, once you have the **** off, you could try spraying some WE-40 into the mounting hole on your current stock shift **** to see if it will help unstick the operation. Be sure to wipe any excess fluid off the outside of the **** so it does not damage the leather.

I believe I bought my adaptor from Mid America. I then had a custom **** painted for it. It works great and been on for a while now. Once you get the adaptor you can pretty much get whatever you want for it. These pictures were taken when I installed the purple stitched boots.
