I miss my C5 :-(
I purchased a 1999 C5 with 22K miles last fall in Florida. I had a couple of little things repaired, joined a Corvette Club in Venice and had the time of my life with the C5 all winter. Spring 2016 came along fast and it was getting time to head back up north for the summer. I realized I did not want to be without a corvette all summer. So, I was crossed with the decision, do I ship the C5 to Boston, Drive the C5 to Boston, Store the C5 in Florida and buy another Corvette for up North or just do without a Corvette for the summer.
I ruled out the cost & chances of shipping. Then I ruled out driving back and forth as I am spoiled cause I do enjoy being door to door in a few hours via flying. So the driving choice didn't last long.
So, I opted to purchase another Corvette and keep one at each home. Whooo Hoooo Utopia :-). I searched and searched and found a beautiful 1995 C4 with 17k miles in the vicinity of Boston. It was short money, so I purchased the vehicle. Man what a nice car. Rides a little stiffer, doesn't have as much storage space, foot space is less and it's a little harder to get in and out of than the C5. Don't get me wrong, the 1995 C4 is an awesome and fun vehicle, but there's something about the C5.
So far, we will see how the summer goes. I joined the North Shore Corvettes of MA and the LuggNutz Hot Rod Club. So, I will be cruising and making new friends with them all summer.
At times, I am stuck with a couple more decisions. Sell the C4 and buy another C5 or be patient and give the C4 some time. The C4 is heading to Unique Car Care in Stoneham, MA for a complete detailing of every inch of the car. The car looks good now, but I am **** when it comes to clean.

I was a little surprised when you said you bought a C4 but didn't want to say anything because they are nice. When I was looking for my first Vette I started out looking for a C4 but after a short time realized the C5 was a better choice so bought my 99 and haven't looked back. Like was said above, you could get a second C5 and double the fun.

Yes I'm pissed about the temps up here. Almost went to Danvers on wed. but it was 49 at 5:00 pm so I knew not many would be there so I bailed.

I stopped up Kitty's Restaurant Meet in North Reading on Thursday. There was a White 56 Bird just leaving as I pulled in. Nobody else there, so I left.
It's going to be crappy all week also with rain and cold. Sucks big time.

I had a '95 C4 and it was a fun car. I'd say give it a few months and see how you like it. Yes, it's not as roomy or ergonomically friendly as a C5, but this way you get to enjoy two different Vette generations.

If I read you post right you paid very little for the C4...if that is the case and it is a fine looking runner I suggest for the money keep it (it also makes for nice conversation in Corvette circles, lol) I have the same situation only thing it is a '05 SSR and I choose to keep it also.

I found a whole list of meets in our area for every day of the week. If you want a copy let me know I'll shoot you a copy of it.
