I have not used yellow bulbs. I have not had any problems with the stock bulbs for the driving I do.

I found some "high power" 899 yellow Led bulbs. I'll post pix ASAP.
The one thing I'd like to mention is the install of the bulbs. Without a doubt, the easiest way, if your arms are thin enough is to open the hood, raise the headlights and the fog lights are visible about 10-12" down on the inboard side of the headlite. You can remove the bezel for more room, but I was ok. 10 minutes without raising the car.

[QUOTE=TheRadioFlyer;1592210501]HID is available in yellow as well....gives more output and won't require a wiring upgrade to get brighter
What kit is this one George?

That was the euro kit with HID we offered a few years ago. It used E-code fog lights (stronger all-steel housing). The output is comparable to a clean set of US-spec lights.
The biggest problems with C5 fog lights are the incredibly weak halogen bulbs and lenses that have seen over a decade of road debris. HID bulbs solve the first problem. The second doesn't have to be solved, but a decent polishing job on the lens wouldn't hurt.

I had an HID kit in my z06, which I added with used OEM parts, then the HID which needed the ballasts. Does the kit you are referring require ballasts too? I just installed yellow led bulbs because the fogs really aren't that great anyway. What are the lenses made of? If glass, I'd love to know how to polish it. If some kind of plastic, I'm very experienced.
However, is it possible to used the GM fog light hardware to adapt a set of high power driving lights like Morimotos?

ALL true HID bulbs require ballasts.
The OEM lenses I believe are made of glass.
We are currently experimenting with Mormoto X.DRL.1 driving lights in the fog light position. These would remove the fog light function, but replace the existing fog lights with VERY powerful LED daytime running lights. If you're interested, let me know (radioflyer97@gmail.com)
