Default Help! I screwed up on fixing the dim temp display

Screwed up something. Trying to fix my dim temp display as per instructions elsewhere on this forum. Soldered the board, and now I get this. All the lights for each button stay sold on. Display still doesn't work. I'm pretty well ready to give up. Where do I find a new board by the way?

Here is a pic. I don't think there is any solder anywhere else.

way too much solder, everyone of those little lines on the board is a circuit, When I did mine I just had a thin coat that covered the 241 number ??? none anywhere else, wished I had taken pic's ???

it does look like a bit much on the solder. I'd try and remove some and hook it back up and see if it works properly. Just my .02

Yeah, they should all look more like the one on the bottom right. The two in the 3rd column from the left almost look shorted together. If nothing was permanently damaged I think you'll be up and running after removing some of the excess solder.

P.S. Definitely don't "coat" the numbers as mentioned above (good intentions, I'm sure). Like I said, try to replicate what you have on the bottom right resistor on the other seven.

Otherwise, you might try posting a Wanted to Buy thread in the C5 Parts for Sale section or contacting one of the forum used parts vendors and see what they have.

I'll give it another shot tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
I see that a vendor on *bay has a repair service on them for $50, so that is my backup.

with all the previous advice regarding excessive material.

Use something like this desoldering wick to remove the excess. Be careful and try to avoid overheating the components.

Wicking wire will help clean that up pretty easily.

I have had to to this on two C5's and I didn't add any solder. I just heated up the connection enough to get a new solid connection when the solder cooled.
