Default Color combo silver/black question

I've googled searched several times, can't find any info.

My C5 is silver. I have a suspicion that gloss black side skirts, screens, real brake ducts, the correct fitting rear spoiler in black, black out lights and black letters front & rear would look really good.

Anyone ever seen a setup like this? I see many with black stripes, but no contrasting side skirts.

Looks great!

I like the pics, pretty much exactly what mine is about to look like. Only difference I will tint windows and going with black grand sport wheels. I ordered the blackout kits and black screens over the weekend.

I'm also dyeing the bottom of the interior door panels, knee bolsters, and the one trim piece that goes around the radio and flows into the center console silver.

I do think gloss black skirts would look good, but only with Z style brake ducts.

JMO, but I agree with you that what you propose would look good on your car.

Helps, I might just go for it. If I do I will post pics. First thing is tearing it apart to dye the interior in my garage.

Next step may be the side skirts.

Currently searching & hoping I'll get lucky on some Z brake ducts & screens in the parts forum.

I actually think the flat meaning, don't stick out, they're flush, colored letters look good. But I certainly get your point, and understand well your sentiment, and don't disagree depending on the theme someone is going with.

Cheap and easy to remove it I don't like it.

That I'm far less unsure about than buy skirts and going gloss black with them.

In my case, I think I need them to help tie in the black skirts.

I wanted to at least tint my rear window, but in my area no one will do it ???? They say it's not worth their effort (failure rate ???)

I found two guys who will do it, but said they would only warranty it for 3 years instead of Lifetime.

Maybe ask for that as an option?

...akapounder, Keep looking brother, I have seen and know of many who have had their back windows tinted and with great results as well as longevity. There is a few trade secrets in this application and those who can do it well don't share. Persistence will pay off, you just found tint people who don't know the trade secret, that's all !!.....
