Definitely digging all the leather.
It's an anti-submarine pad. It takes the place of the 5th point for a 5 point harness. It's not regulation if I were to seriously track it though. It's actually pretty comfortable, it holds you against the back of the seat so that you don't have to use your legs to do it. There is a version with that removed with a cut out for the belt.

Can't wait to see install pics congrats
It wasn't cheap and it took 7 months to get but it was worth it. The seats retain all of the functionality of the OEM including lumbar and memory. The match-up between the real and the hydro is not that drastic, plus none of it is visually against each other. The way that I designed it was that all the hydro parts are small and flow around the outside (door handles, gauge bezel, center console). The real carbon pieces are large and in the center (seats, steering wheel). Then I made sure that everything was separated by leather.

Steering wheel, seats, shift **** were done by Apsis. Gauge cluster surround is from American Hydrocarbon. Dash, console, armrest, door panels are from Double D Mods.

The car is still in pieces so no glamor shots yet. I'm trying to get it on the road by the end of the month in time for the next Cars and Coffee here in Charlotte. It falls on my birthday and I'm tired of going and not having a car! Here's a few more and a teaser at the end...

And now the tease...

That's it for now....

Default More Goodies Arrived Today!!!

I finally have everything to complete the car and get it on the road. The goal was to have it done by the end of the week, but that's looking doubtful I'm sure it will be ready sometime in July. Anyway, on with the eye candy...

In case you're wondering what those "T" shaped things are:

The front end is on:

Yes, I know that it looks like the bumper is not matching the hood, pewter is a difficult color to match. I have an after market hood that's being put on. It's at the body shop and it has been prepped. They are going to paint it on the car and blend it into the front and the fenders. The light are being replaced by the RadioFlyer pieces.

Almost ready to fly

Please elaborate on the silver interior door pulls and locks. I have been contemplating painting mine silver to get them to look like brushed aluminum. What did you use -- paint, powder coat, something else? Thanks.

That's not paint. They are cast aluminum. A guy in Ca. made them for his own car. He sold the car on eBay and I came across it. Long story short he sold them to me. He has the molds and may make more of them, but right now I have the only set. He's going to let me know when he's ready to make some more and sell them. When he does I'll definitely be letting the forum know.

Workmanw: You probably blow your nose with $100 dollar bills. That's some serious coin being dropped on the mods. Nicely done.
