Getting closer. Car was actually running last week. Unfortunately we've run into several setbacks. Mechanically, the fuel rails don't work with the MSD manifold. We notched them to get them to fit, but it didn't hold and one of the injectors popped out. I have to get a set of stock LS2 rails. On the interior side the seats have been a real struggle. The seats are slightly too wide on the tunnel side passenger and driver. We were able to get the driver's seat in, but we're going to have to modify the passenger seat rails. Because of the carbon fiber shells the sides are stiff and I have thick insulation under the carpet. On the plus side, the Stereo is in, dash is in, door panels are on. Not going to install the steering wheel until the end, I don't want to risk scratching it. Once we get the rails sorted out, it's going to the body shop to get the hood fitted and painted. Here are some updates pics...

More updates:
TS lip installed
Headlights hooked up, covers on
Diffuser attached
I bought the fog light DRL conversion from Radio Flyer. They work as advertised but they are only on when the lights are completely off. I want them to be on with my parking lights and angel eyes so I'm going to put the fog light harness back on and have them work as original.

The seats, steering wheel and dash look incredible! but mixing real carbon and hydrocarbon would never happen if it were my car. The hydrocarbon I think will look cheap when its next to the real stuff!

Love the doors and dash also, not a real fan of CF but yours look great IMO. Still waiting for finished pics.

I like those aluminum door pulls. If they ever do make some more I would love to have the opportunity to buy a set. Please keep me posted if that ever happens or let me know how to contact the person who made them. Thanks in advance.

I agree with you. That is why I went with hydrocarbon accents and not whole pieces like the console. In person the leather raises the feel of the overall quality. I would argue that it's plastic pieces that downgrades hydrocarbon more than actual carbon pieces. The other thing that I did was make sure that there was visual separation with material between the two.

My only issue with the carbon fiber look is that in the future it may just become another building material and seem less exotic. That isn't a very big issue though.
Your interior looks awesome though. I'm sure pictures don't do it justice. If you sat in the car you would be like "oh wow". I don't have big money to put into an interior but I plan on doing some of the pieces myself in the near future. Yours is a good model to go by.

Things are going a little slow with all of the 90+ degree days. The garage does not have air so it's almost dangerous to be in there too long, even with the door open and the fan on. I hope to have it wrapped up and ready for the dyno by the end of the month. That includes time that it's going to have to spend at the body shop getting the hood installed/painted. The fuel rail issue was a real set back, I have it now so hopefully will get it running again this weekend.

I saw your car in your avatar and looked you up. Wow! I love Mallett Vett's! I used to live in Cleveland and they were just on the other side of the city in Berea. I'm in Charlotte now, and they again are just on the other side of town in Cornelius. They make my absolute favorite hood for the C5, they won't sell it without buying a package though. Talk about spending some coin, I don't think I have anything on you! That must have been a beast to drive! What are you going to do next?
