It certainly would be the cheaper route to go. It all comes down to YOU. What do you like? If the stick-on is enough for you to be happy with, then there's nothing wrong with it. You stated that your OEM bumper is damaged, that'll need to be fixed anyway or replaced. If your prepared to spend the extra $$ why not get your 1st choice and find a competent body-shop willing to do it? If your second-guessing yourself now about the stick-on, it's remote that your feelings would change after you did it.
Get what you really want, and be done with it. Just my .02
I'm thinking of durability - an SMC/fiberglass rear can suffer from stress cracks at the mounting points and from just general wear and tear.
I agree if it made in urethane for a few hundred more than it is worth it. I guess what I was saying was the molds need to be corrected as it doesn't matter what its made of if it doesn't fit right.
