Safety Car
I do this every time I happen to purchase a used car, unless I have documented service/maintenance history that shows it was recently done.

Thanks for all the advice guys...one more question...I notice a little difficulty shifting into 2nd and 3rd gear, should I be concern? Because of this, I want to take it to the dealer and get the transmission and maybe the clutch fluid change. Anyone local here in Oklahoma want to give me a hand for a little money?

Hey guys,
I am new to the forum and a new owner of a 2004 z06. I just bought it over the weekend.
I bought the car for $22,000.00
2004, titanium yellow with 46K.
Overall condition is good.
I thought it was a fair price. Your opinion?

RE: do some research here on the forum and learn about the fluids change your self. dealer will COST you $$$. the tech there might not ever have changed fluids on a Z. i read up on it,chose the correct oils and took it to my local mechanic and we kinda did it together. a good way to learn about underneath the car too. i just changed my trans and rear end on my '04 torch red Z,30k miles only.PM me with a phone number if u have any questions. nice car u got there!

Had a yellow c5 and now a yellow C6 LS3 so cannot argue with you taste in cars. The c5s do shift harder check some of entries on the forum about the type of fluid in the rear transfer case.
Also, be aware of the issue with the wire harness in the A pillar leading to the door. The pins in the plugs get loose over time and you end up with a gremlins.
and, have fun.

There is a sticky post on electrical issues in the C5 Tech section and you will see the plug on Page 55. The harness travels from the door through a rubber boot into the A pillar. My door lock and window on the driver side was driving me nuts. You can drop money on a new window motor and the digital control unit if you don't watch it. I reworked the pins and the issues were no more. This plug has the conductors that controls the windows, the door locks and the mirror.
Also review the ground issues noted in the sticky as well. Froggy has some good Youtube vids on the C5 and he also addresses the grounding plugs/pins.
