Default trans oil for automatic

I was reading the post on smoother shifts for the manual. Is there a better trans oil for an automatic? Just wondering. You folks answer so many of my novice questions. Thanks in advance.

The AMSOIL ATF "TORQUE DRIVE" is an excellent ATF. Contact a forum AMSOIL Guy for details or go to NAPA. My local NAPA sells it.

I had read that post. Since I have an A4, most of the issues you were addressing was about the m6. One guy, a corvette guy locally really recommended the BG flush and all. Just wondering.

I would not recommend flushing a transmission. If the fluid in it is very old or burnt, you can do a couple of fill and drains to get it out. I myself use Redline's high temp atf but I have also had great results with Valvoline max life.

Pops you know they can change the shifts in your A4 with a tune... hard shifts, firm shifts, soft shifts, teeth jarring shifts... they can do a LOT to change your A4 performance... Chuck CoW is in OKC every year... had him do a street tune for our MN6 car and it is AWESOME.... might give him a call and see when he's back in our area...
