Default RKsport side skirts install, BIG PICS!

I TOTALLY SCORED a brand new set of RKsport Urethane side skirts, for $80 on Craigslist the other day So today, I installed them
They were a bit of a chore to get them to fit up to the body, being Urethane, they required a lot of calibrated support for mounting. It was not hard, just a bit time consuming. To get them on, and fit right, it took me 3 hours from beginning to end, however, that was working at chest height on a lift (something to consider). I'll let you be the judge I took it out for a quick beauty shot after waxing down the whole car.

Nah, all my other body accessories are already matte black, I think I'll keep it just the way it is. I might plasti dip them some time, I dunno.

Looks like you did a great job fitting them to the car - any gaps at all where they meet the rocker panel?

And for $80, you got a steal of a deal.

your car is coming along

Skirts look good , if you can lower the car about an inch all around it would really start to come to life

I think it'll really start to come to life when I get my satin bronze Forgestar F14's in something like 5-7 weeks!!! I wish I could go lower, but that ACI front lip is SO low :/ One day I'll probably get the ACI skirts, those are what I really want after all, till then, these will do just fine.

The fitment is spot on, they just require a lot of support to hold them in the right place on the body. The ends, where they wrap around the rocker, were molded very well, and there is a little indent for locating the skirts that fits in the gap between the front fenders, and the rocker.

Looks good, but now is time to remove your BSM's.

You've got the BSM horizontal line, then you've got the cove line, and now you've added another horizontal line with the skirts...too busy!

I will get some better pics this weekend. I have to reinstall them now anyways they wilted in the nearly 90 degree heat the other day, and began sagging in the middle, which caused the tape to pull away from the rocker. I'm thinking of making some 1/4" x 1/4" x 6" aluminum strips, and add screws in the center to try and spread the load, and getting new 3M tape to apply to the parts, but I originally didn't add any screws to the center. They fit tight in the cooler, shaded garage

All better now. I doubled up on the body tape, and added screws every 6" or so, and it worked like a charm. I also plasti dipped them, my headlight buckets again, the rear valance, and repaired my front lip, and repainted that as well (you can see the bondo shavings in the driveway haha). Oh, I also put my front screens back in!

The track vents really go well with the flat black headlight covers. Nice job.

Thank you It's actually me just being lazy hahah! I have a medium spiral grey headlight cover on my drivers side, that I have not painted body color, So I just dipped them. I got ran of a freeway on ramp some weeks ago, which damaged the headlight, and I just haven't gotten around to painting it. I think it looks serviceable with black buckets, I think the hood vents tie it in.

Stainless 1/4" long countersunk head coarse phillips. There is enough space to get an air ratchet with a phillips bit in a socket underneath and run them in. I drilled #30 holes as pilots first, that's 0.128" dia.
