How do the stance coilovers ride?

I managed to dial in my stock suspension to a fairly low hiehgt while still saving "most" of the ride quality, but coilovers are still in my plans at some point.

Also the 19/20 combo loosk perfect, I might rebuild my 19/19 to a 19/20 (stepped lip) to fill the wheel gap that much better
Coilovers are night and day over the longer bolts....I feel that I've been able to maintain stock ride quality (Sport mode with the F55 suspension I had before) while getting the look that I crave...when the car sits right it just looks longer, meaner, faster!!

The price for these coilovers was great at just over $1,100....perhaps if I was going to track the car a bit I'd have spent a little more for the LG's but given its a convertible and my purpose for the car it wasn't necessary...in the end I want it to be a hot rod...killer looks and with my upcoming performance mods I have planned, something that will put a big grin on your face when you hit the gas pedal.

All the best,

Michael

Looks fantastic canuck9!! I certainly can appreciate the methodical patient approach you took in getting the car to where it is now. Great job!!

[QUOTE=CorvetteBob52;1592743116]Oh, and while your customizing your awesome blue vette, some interior upgrades look great too. Again, here's mine... Overkill???

I like the theme of tying in the yellow with all of the black accents...for now my plan is to keep the interior stock as its in excellent shape and the all black plays off of the roof and other black accents the car will have when I'm finished in a few weeks.

Perhaps if I keep the car long enough I'll upgrade the interior to have premium leather, suede etc...an interior from DS Vettes or Carravagio...but than I'd be looking at another $10-$15k.

As far as the engine bay the main change will be performance based but I have some nice plans in the work to dress it up but with an 'all business' attitude!

All the best,

Michael

Matt at FSP just sent me a pic of these beauties!! Freshly powder coated to match the Electron Blue paint. Covers are from Katech and we're also going with their coil pack relocation brackets.

Some shots from earlier today (crappy iPhone pics) when Matt from FSP came down to pick up my ride....work that will be done over the next two weeks...

- ECS Supercharger kit (matte black with blue couplers)...with their new shroud design....goal is to make about 500-525 rwhp (Mustang Dyno)...somewhere around 8-9 psi of boost...stock driveability.

- Kooks 1 7/8 headers, x-pipe and high flow cats.

- Install Radio Flyers HID headlights and tinted DRL's w/ LEDs.

- Install Carbon Creations Carbon Fiber C5R front splitter and C-style rear spoiler

- Powdercoat CCW SP550's gloss black (inside barrels and spokes...leaving lips and center caps polished...Black Gorilla lug nuts)

- Install Katech valve covers (already powdercoated to match EB paint), Katech coil relocation kit, Aeromotive Fuel Rails (Red Anadoized), Red MSD spark plug wires.

Man I can't wait!!!

All the best,

Michael

Started another post to ask for some input on how to go about some of my planned body mods...I've figured it out!!! Not that I can't change things down the road but the plan is as follows...

- Ordered a StarCraft Tiger Shark hood just now from Dennis at DDMods...going to paint it Electron Blue to match the car but have the center vented area painted in Carbon Flash Metallic
- Will have the C5R carbon front splitter painted Carbon Flash Metallic
- Carbon C-Style rear wing will be painted Electron Blue
- Lower valance of rear bumper will be painted Carbon Flash Metallic
- Wheels are currently at powder coater....gloss black inner barrels and spokes...polished center caps and outer lips...gloss black Gorilla lug nuts.

At the same time I'm going to have the headlight covers, front and rear bumper painted to help with color matching of panels but also get rid of some stubborn flaws/scratches.

I've also ordered some brand new 50th Anniversary front and rear emblems....got a great deal on ebay for only $130 (total)!!!

It looks like we're going to go with 'supercharged' badges for each valve cover in a polished stainless steel....same badges used for the first generation Cadillac V-Series...should go nicely with the covers that have been powder coated EB.

Can't wait to see it all come together!!

All the best,

Michael

Build update...

Matt and the team started digging into the project....removed the intake to take off the air tubes for a cleaner look...also found an old jolly rancher?? under the fuel rail covers...nice!!

Headers getting installed (Kooks 1 7/8"...with X-pipe and high flow cats)...

Putting Katech coil relocation brackets on...new MSD ignition wires...and Katech valve covers painted Electron Blue...going to put 'SUPERCHARGED' badges on the inserts...polished stainless against the blue background...going to look sharp!! They will take everything off again and get it all detailed.

Progress being made...

Matt decided to go with an off road x-pipe...he'll tune it so there won't be any 'smell issues'...and will provide a little extra hp!!

Also, making room for the ECS Supercharger kit (going to be the best mod of them all!!!)...

Wheels are at powder coater...changed the game plan...going to do all gloss black...will pin stripe the outer lip by the spokes...either going to have the CCW logo left in silver or paint blue to match car...took inspiration from Johnson92 here on the forum...

All the best,

Michael
