C5 Z06 Front brakes fit rear?
Hi!
I am a relatively new owner of a "track" build C5 Z06.
But I'm quite unhappy with the 1-piston calipers on the rear brakes.
I´ve changed to Coleman disc in front and Hawk Hp + pads.
Does anyone know if the front calipers will fit rear? Our have any tip on how to get similar calipers on the rear as in front?
Thanks in advance!

I am no expert, but as I understand it the factory designed the car with dynamically controlled front to rear bias, with more towards the front obviously. Putting fronts on the rear will throw this bias off unless you upsize the fronts at the same time. There are lots of great threads on here about factory disc brake swaps.
Just for background, I track my car with the Essex / AP racing front kit and factory rears with upgraded rotors and Ferodo pads all aorund. Car stops better than it should, has not overheated brake fluid (yet) and front to rear bias feels great unless I'm driving stupid.
Hope this helps,

^Agree.
I would get larger brakes for the front to keep things in proportion. There are larger rotors that come with a mounting bracket for use with your existing calipers. Personally I would go with the larger brakes from one of the C-6 models. C-6 uses the same knuckle as the C-5 so mounting shouldn't be an issue. The C-6 has a larger rim to accommodate. I'm thinking the stock C-5 rim is too small for this set up.

Install KNS rotors at 4 corners, better pads and duct the fronts for better cooling and you'll be fine. With these changes stock calipers will stop you beyond the ability of any tires except slicks. If anyone asks this question you have not had enough track time to develop your driving skills enough to spend the extra money. Moving front calipers to rear on any C5 is a waste of money and it unbalances brake system.
