September is off to a good start (New Tune + New DD)
September is off to a pretty good start. My car has been running quite rich lately, so I decided to have it retuned with the help of a friend of mine. I installed new 02 sensors prior to taking it to him to make sure everything was on the up and up and fresh. I've also installed new plugs in the last 1000 or so miles. I have to say, it's like a totally different car and I enjoy driving it again. No more weird idle hunting and nice street manners are a good thing. We also logged it and added a little timing which picked up some nice mid range. I have to say, the car is 100% more enjoyable to drive now and has much better manners in traffic. Even with a mild cam, it's quite civil, which has renewed my interest in it
I also decided to pick up a new DD yesterday. My last truck was sold a few months back to the original owner's son. I didn't really want to sell it, but he wanted it really bad and it seemed like the right thing to do at the time so I let it go back to that family. All is well though as I picked up a '15 Sierra and I'm absolutely loving it. It feels really large compared to my old 2005 Crew Cab, but there is no looking back at this point. It's full of tech and great features, which is something I'm not used to at all, but I'm sure I'll learn to live with it
So overall, September has been a pretty good car month for me. Hope it's going well for everyone else, too!

Happy you got the car running nice, and it looks really good! Too bad it can't be your DD though...

Always great to have a nice DD to drive. Just did a cam swap on my 03Z and its great to know I don't have to drive it the two weeks before the tune.

Thanks all. Yes, the wheels are HRE 541 and they are an 18x9.5 and 19x12 setup. As far as using the C5 as a DD, I have no desire. Been there, done that

Sounds like u are enjoying the car again, which is an awesome feeling! Congrats and the new truck as well. I no longer DD my C5, picked up an 09 Silverado. Good weather over here all week so that means I'm taking the C5 out!

It's great that you got yours back to running good, mine seems to have gotten worse. Can't drop it off until I get the truck out of being held hostage, do you still have the Beamer? I'd raise the heck out of the truck, with our neighborhood and the rain that we get, it's a no brainer. Plus, you have the Vette if you want to go low. Congrats, I'm jealous and pissed on both accounts. L8R ZFLASH

Yes, still have the BMW, not sure if I'll sell it or keep it around. It's not worth a whole lot but insurance and maintenance isn't cheap so it's quite the coin toss on what to do with it.
