Default Installed the Novistretch yesterday

We are leaving FL in a few days for a trip to the NC mountains. The Love Bug season has been terrible down here this year so I ordered the Novistretch front bumper mask for the car in preparation. It appears to be a high quality accessory. Took me about 20 minutes to install it for the first time because I had to replace 8 factory screws with snaps. In the future I would think it will take about 2-3 minutes to put it on or off. Another plus is the ability to just take it off and hand wash it and air dry after any trip. I really don't see this one causing any damage to the paint if I follow the instructions for use that were provided.

I debated about which one to put on the Vert, but finally decided on the Novi because of all of the positive reviews here on the forum.

I will post again after the trip about how it worked.

Hope it works well for you. Being able to just wash the cover and get rid of all the bugs is very nice.

Thanks Jack. Being able to wash it and the material it is made of is what intrigued me about it. I have had more than my fair share of front end masks/bras over the years on various vehicles and they all seemed to have the same issue. They looked like crap after a while and the rough seams, connections, etc. always seemed to affect the paint in the end.

This one being so easy to care for and put on/off will hopefully protect me and give me what I am looking for. Only time will tell I guess.

I do know that repeated washing to get the damned Love Bugs of the car before their body acids ate the paint is a major pain here in Florida. I don't want to be limited on when I can drive this beautiful thing because of bugs.

Here's hoping for the best.

I also live in Florida and purchased the Novistretch to help out on road trips and love bug season as well. It works great and is easy to install and remove.

I dont like the looks of any front end protection bra, but this one looks OK for the purpose it serves. It really helps to keep this nasty bug guts in check plus, as mentioned, you just need to hose it off and wash it.

Sweet ride and thanks for the review of it lasting a while. Now please tell me about the wind restrictor you have installed. I have been looking for something that works. Your review would be very helpful.

I love it also. Works extremely well and really earns it's money above 35 mph. Conversations are easy even at freeway speeds.

Would you mind sharing the Name, Mfgr and where you got it. Also does it interfere with putting the seats fully back, I am tall and have long legs. Some of the ones I have seen look like they would not allow a reclined and retracted seat.

Thanks

As I am 5'10", I don't have to have mine all the way back...It could be a factor. They do work great. This is the site, I believe they have made it frameless now as mine is several years old.https://vettenet1.com/product/vette-net-wind-deflector/

There are frequent adds on the forum here that have a different style.

I was really disappointed the first time I removed my Novistretch for cleaning and saw how much of the liquid portion of the bugs made it through. A lot. Our bugs do tend to be big and juicy here in the midwest. If you leave it on for a long period, you could end up with etching due to the bug guts that get through.

I still do my post trip routine when I get home. Pull the bra.wash it and touch up the nose. Thats what's great about it, comes off quickly and installs easily

For long road trips when I know the front end will be squashing bugs I use Road Warrior Plus. It's a great temporary solution and you can get 4-5 bras with 1 quart.
