No added padding on mine, just use short staples and its no issue at all, its a decently stout piece of plastic.

Did you leave the stock vinyl or peel it off?

eft it on, took the lid completely apart, stretched it over the original cover, stapled and put it back together. It stretched out a little after a few months, I just installed a vettenuts insulation kit recently, while I as at it, I took it back apart, pulled the staples and stretched it and re stapled, its almost looks professional now IMO.

How did you like the insulation. I just scored some peel and stick that I'll install when I fix my seats.

Now that I have the mechanical done, I am getting into the whole interior thing. It seems like more of an art than science. I wish there was more DIY interior here.

Thanks again.

I did a number of things, I did peel and stick on the doors and the rear fender liners last year, then the full vettenuts kit last month. Overall I am happy with the results, really kind of muffles the outside noise and will expose any other areas of noise, the car feels a little more polished and not quite so cheap, sounds tacky but it does...

Cool.
I want to quiet mine down a bit too and class it up some. Was sweating center console and trim fitment but yours looks fine. I don't have a console in mine now and the tunnel gets real hot even though I insulated the tunnel cover.

The interior insulation will help but a tunnel plate takes care of console heat, got mine for free with the headers from Mike at tps but would gladly pay for one.

I emailed jack to order one, he said it should be hitting the website anyday now, a little pricey but If I sell all my aftermarket stuff it won't be bad and I keep the airbag, and will take one of the crappiest parts of the interior and fix it.

Hey guys just curious about how you guys feel about this wheel after having it for a while. I HATE the stock wheel but I always felt that the issue with it was the size but this doesnt change that. Do you guys think this mod changed the way you feel about the wheel? Was it worth it?

I'd be interested in hearing opinions also.

Unfortunately the flat bottom steering wheels ordered in December and January have not been completed yet. Our chief defigner is having serious health issues and the work goes much slower than we would like to

First wheels should be completed and shipped later this week. I will keep you updated.

Take care

Base price is $695 shipped. But then there are extra options to build the price up

And some discounts to bring it back down

Feel free to message me for details if you're interested.

Take care

Thanks again.

Yes there is more DIY interior here is some of mine during last summer. Everything has held up well except a few areas of the dash came unglued due to my car being outside all day in excessive heat. I used shoe goo which is strong enough to hold a heel to a shoe in those areas. I will be updating the post later this week.
