My other favorite is my floor jack and jack stands, because without them 90% of the work I do would not be possible.

I couldn't agree more........air is a great help

I'd have to say mine is the ol' trusty hammer
When I get frustrated I grab the hammer and beat the crap out of something

My 2000# engine hoist..... My Dad used it for 50 years and gave it to me last year. Has extendable boom and hoist legs that can reach out to about 12 feet. Massive unit on steel wheels. I just rolled it up to the front bumper and reached all the way to the firewall. Easily picked the engine out of the bay and rolled back to bolt it to the engine stand.

Of course I have the typical tool setup to repair and rebuild anything from tractors to boats. Being a Master service tech from decades of wrenching tends to make you a collector of tools.

I do have a large compressor and many air tools, but two items I use most frequently and are great to have are my wall mounted garage vac and a utility sink with hot and cold running water. I use that sink almost every single day for something. I would love to have something to make lifting my car easier. Next!

I tend to agree with the tech2. I only recently got mine but it's already paid for itself. To choose favorite tools is difficult among so many but I'd say my biggest time saver is my power bleeder and my most versatile is my Miller Dynasty DX Tig. Having a lathe and mill it's not a bad thing either.

The motive power bleeder is a great tool. What are the best uses for the tech 2?

I bought the Tech 2 for one main reason, to do the auto bleed !!! With all the EBCM issues, I know one of them was contaminated fluid, rusting components in the unit. With the Auto bleed function not only did I flush and bleed the whole system, it also told me my pump and all four actuators were working (audible). I have also used it for crank sensor relearn and PCM relearn. (not on the vette) !!!! That is the tip of the iceberg of uses !!!

I feel like I need a 2-post lift in my life. Maybe I'm getting older........... maybe I'm getting spoiled...... i love doing brake and suspension work, but jacks and jackstands just **** me off since the full frame vehicle went away. There is something wrong in my life when getting all 4 wheels off the ground is the hardest part of all my jobs in the garage.

Of the many tools, this one makes me money. Did a set of C5 tires an hour ago. $100 cash in little over a hour. Of course it took installing hundreds of tires to finally get there. Then something breaks you have to repair.

Of ALL the tools I have, I would have to say the 1/4" Milwaukee electric ratchet is my fav. But that's at work for tearing apart airplanes so my fav in my garage, I would have to say the garage door opener if that can be classified as a tool. That way I can get my car out.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses the leaf blower to dry the car

As for tools ? Too many to list but when it comes to ratchets I love my set of Snap On's I ALWAYS seem to grab the 12" long 3/8 drive.
