Headlight Bumpers with Pics
Probably been done a million times...but I learned a little and found something new to me!
Drivers side headlight closing and then popping up halfway. Found I had a bad bumper, ordered from Rodney Dickman. http://rodneydickman.com/catalog/pro...roducts_id=309
So I'll include some pics i took.
Also realized that its pretty easy to get the shroud and painted cover off of the headlight. When you do that, you can easily see the turn signal and running lights in the front bumper. I could also see the place that the OE bulb melted in the top of the housing. This is where water can get inside that ends the life of your turn signals. I'll probably silicone that when the bumpers come in. Also give easy access to the fog light, so if you were inclined to do a full LED replacement of those bulbs, taking the headlight covers off is a easy way to get at it from the top.
I'll add more pics when the parts come in to show the area, maybe I'll put some LEDs in there too. Any suggestions for LEDs that have resistors already installed that dont cost an arm and a leg?
All disassembled
The damaged bumper, I just flipped it over for now and it works fine.
This was interesting but trivial, initials and markings under the headlight cover.

Congratulations on finding a Made in USA part on a C5! That is the first one I have seen. I have found everything else - Mexico, Canada, Germany, Japan, France - you name it.
