Never have seen them at a local hardware/home improvement store. Try one of the forum used parts vendors and see what they can do for you.

How do these fit in.. I got a couple and they don't catch.. Just drop out! Twisting round doesn't seem to be a way to secure..
I have a 99 car..

There are tabs on the plug and corresponding holes in the housing. The plug rotates about an 1/8 of a turn and they don't snap in. I applied some black electrical tape to mine to hold them in place.

I was missing one and tried a wide variety of the "standard" body plugs. I could not find any that were close enough to stay in the hole. I don't know if it was their intention, but it seems to be a unique sized hole.
When I was looking for them a few years back, our local dealer said they were no longer available. I finally bid on a won a few of them on an ebay auction.
Good luck... GUSTO

There are two kinds of headlight plugs, one for the early cars (yours and mine) and one for all that junk that came later.
The plugs don't really interchange although they appear to be the same size. They immediately fall out of the early cars. The later cars they have a locking twist thingie. Then they fall out later.
You can upgrade your early headlight bezels to the later model and then can use the commonly available newer locking plugs. The bezels are about $15 each then add in the price of the new plugs and wha! You just blew a hole in your daughter's college tuition filling in two non necessary holes in your Corvette. As I said earlier, the later ones fall out too.
When you do this to an earlier model Corvette you decrease the resale value because it is no longer "original". This will make the angels weep.
What I did to retain the originality of my $53,000.00 sports car was to take two black spray can tops and cut the top off the plastic tops. I put them on the inside of the bezel holes and then ran a sheet metal screw through the plug and into the spray can top. It won't fool an NCRS judge but it cuts down on the stray light.
There is not much light coming out of the headlights anyway.
When they are up.
Which is another story.

98-99 are different size then the later years
98-99 have a 2.4" plug where the later 2.18" plug doesn't fit
Guess I will have to suck it up and pay the shipping for the correct one
