Default New to me C5

I am not new to Vettes but this is my first C5. Here are a couple of pics. I have a couple of questions about it. The stripe on the hood is definitely painted on a is smooth to the touch, is it factory? Are the black with chrome edges wheels stock or aftermarket? I have owned three C6's (automatics) and three C4's one of them a 92 ZR1 and I think this C5 might be my favorite. It is a manual.

The stripe on the hood and the wheels are both non-factory items. The previous owner most likely added them to dress up the car.

Congrats on your C5 - sure looks great.

Thanks, I thought so but when I ran my hand over the stripe and it was clearcoated and smooth with the rest of the hood I wondered if it was factory. They did a proper job on the stripe.

Like Jack stated, the rims and stripe are aftermarket.
Looks like a very nice C5.

Congratulations! Nice looking.

Just curious, what do you prefer about the C5 vs C6? (not switching, just curious. )

I didn't dislike anything about the C6's but they were all autos and the C5 is a manual. I like the look and feel of the C5 interior better, I like the look out over the hood from inside. The electronic doors of the C6 were cool but I kind of like door handles better. I am surprised how peppy it feels even with less horsepower, it's a lot of fun for a lot less money.
