Funny how things work in life - - I've had the same exact issues levied agains Ecklers.... with Southern! Late arrival, no communication, etc....I had to literally get belligerent with Southern to get an answer where a missing order item was in the chain... it all worked out in the end but the hassle has removed Southern from my future order list.

Ecklers, Zips, and Mid America --- my 'go to' choices here. No hard feelings agains Southern, I wish them the best.

I did Pounder....you are correct! It was the hood from them, not the bumper.

P.S. My replacement bumper is on it's way....finally! Still only guaranteeing 70% fitment!! Because it's an aftermarket part! Kills me....

That's probably a good thing. If they did, it'd probably be out of style before you were able to get one shipped to you anyway....

Service sucked too.
Lastly, they don't update your account immediately nor send you an order confirmation right away. I was told "that can take a day or two". WTF?

I ordered a shift boot from Ecklers and got it quickly. Guess they had that in stock.

Some other venders (mentioned in this thread), not so much.
I have bought a lot of stuff from Ecklers. Nary a problem.
I use Southern Car parts, Corvette Central, West Coast Corvette, MAM and Elite Engineering also. I tend to go where I can get the best price for the product . But, I have had few if any problems with any of them. I think many are just drop shippers.

It seemed like Ecklers was really trying to improve. Actually had someone here on the forum. I bought a C4 LT4 car to flip, it needed a back up light switch. Needed it ASAP, and Ecklers had it in stock. Keep in mind that I pass within a mile of their building daily. I was going to pick it up. It had to go down to Ft. Myers where the car was, so rather than me picking it up, I paid the $15 extra to UPS it down so it would get there the next day. Package didn't show. I called Ecklers to see what happened, and I was told they just mailed it because "we don't use UPS, we use Fed Ex." Seriously, you don't tell me that as I requested UPS for overnight delivery, either would be fine. So I talk to the supervisor/manager and explain. He offers to FedEx another one to have it the next day, great, but it will arrive at the same time as the first one. I tell them don't bother, we will just deal with it. So my son gets one USPS and one FedEx, arrive within minutes of each other. I appreciated their effort, but they did it even after I declined the offer. I will not give them another chance, don't care how close they are.

Over the years I've ordered parts here and there but, nothing like a steady regularity. If they happen to have something I need and no one else does, most likely I'll roll the dice. One thing is for sure, that I have noticed over two decades shopping or browsing, is their prices have never been on the low side, and I concur on the shipping time, it's either hit or miss.

Recently, I ordered a part for the targa on the C5 and it came fairly quickly. I was informed by a friend who makes sure my packages get inside my house since I'm gone a lot, that my new fuel tank for the C4 came in on the 9th and I had bought it on the 4th of Dec, so pretty quick for the shipping of a bulky item. For once, the price of something they were selling was a steal, I got it just under $200 with free shipping.

Bob I work there part time as a tech and expertise. If you need something again email me. I will give it to you at cost with free shipping or just outright free.

In the past they hired non car people working there to save money which was stupid. They have since changed that. Last month was tough due to the hurricane(closed 4 days),a hack online and moving one warehouse stock down from NY. It turned into a clusterf$%^.

Regarding seats they sell different ones from different vendors. As they do with weatherstripping which is insane.

Regarding shipping they have been slammed since hurricane which caused them to be 4 days closed. They also combined both warehouses into one which I thought was a wrong move. I even during spare time go there to help pinch in

Keep in mind with any of these Corvette places....a lot of time on items not in stock shipping times etc are provided by someone answering the phone at the vendor who produces the part. Many of them don't care etc.

If anyone got burned in the past email me. I don't do sales or customer service but I will make sure whatever you need is at cost with free shipping to make up for it

I am sorry many of you suffered due to this...
