One guy once said to me "there's just something wrong with a guy in his 70's driving a Vette and having a handicapped license on it. I told him he's right, I'd prefer not to need the handicapped tag.

Boy, what a tough crowd.
All I wanted to know many post ago was, why so many older men are attracted to the Corvette, as opposed to younger men.
It would be the same thing if you saw the red Corvette pictured in this thread, a couple of pages back, all tricked out, and stopped to ask the owner his, or her reason for doing it.
Somewhere that picture appeared in another thread, and most posting in that thread had negative things to say about it.
A bit hypocritical I think.
Way to many of you posting in this thread are really defensive.
What that tells me is none of you are sure that an old man, driving around in a low to the ground sports car is actually socially acceptable.
May be acceptable to you, but it is always in the back of your mid, what others are thinking when they see you.
If you now say that is not the case, I would respectfully say you are full of ****.
Now would be a great time to put this thread to bed.
I have said all I need to on this subject.
Bob.
