Changing the blinker bulb (very easy)
I see many c5,s with one blinker light out and i assume they dont change it because its difficult but its not. The lens is on a spring so you can lift it up just enough to put a screw driver handle under it to support it. Then using a pair of channel locks you can reach in and undo the snap lock and turn it till it drops out of the bulb housing. Then you can pull it out from under the lens and replace the bulb. The screw driver handle should be wide enough to allow the bulb to come out and a rubber handle so it doesnot mare the paint. The lens spring is quite tight to take it slow and easy.

Yes the plastic lens at the bottom of the bumper with the blinker light is is mounted on a spring and can be lifted up just enough to get at the bulb. If you have a c5 go to the bumper and try lifting the lens. Its tight but does lift up and go back down after you take out the screw driver handle. I have a 2001 and have changed the bulb many times this way.

To op, if you are changing them often the housing is probably cracked and allowing water to get to bulb. You might look down through at the top and see if you have cracked housings from heat. Mine did this a lot until I replaced the housing and went with cooler running led lights.

I was messing with my DRL's for the better part of the summer and I can change both bulbs in about 30 seconds now. I do in through the openings in the bumper where the brake ducts are. It isn't pleasant but for me was the quickest way to do it.

Same here, fist time it took me about 45 minutes through the brake ducts. Second time less than a minute. I do have Trump-hands though.
