Agree with Grant. If 1 mill., it's not enough money to buy a house and my yard is too pretty to obstruct it with a garage. The c5 would go, a 3lt Sterling blue GS would be in the driveway, and trade my wife's rx350 for a new one. Of course there's then the mid 50's Napco conversion or early Studie pickup that I would like....uh oh....the list is growing !!!!!

I plan to keep my C5 vert after I add a 2017 C7Z to the stable early next year so I would have no problem keeping it if I won the lottery. Since I don't play regularly it probably won't happen but when the day comes my enterprising efforts bear enough fruit, I would still keep my C5 no matter what other toys were added. I'm the original owner and I plan to keep it as long as I'm above ground.
Plus, they don't make cars this good looking anymore, and I luv the retro pop-up lights!

I'd get a c-7 gs, give my c-5 to my son, upgrade my daughters SUV. I have a friend who won $1 mil. On a scratch off and its pay off is divided into 26 years. Not a lot per month but he's retired and has very little debt.

Depends how much. Really huge bucks? there would be some classics sitting in my second garage - you know the steel and glass one on stilts in the woods, just like Cameron's dad's in Ferris - I already have the woods, so that would be easy.....
The C5 would go to one of the family, I would buy an Eagle XKE roadster, a 77 era black/gold Trans Am, complete with a 572 Chev crate engine, a 427 Cobra, plus an Audi RS7 for the grocery shopping. That's the day one buy list. Then I would get serious.....

Burning Brakes
Pay off the house, buy a house in a southern state for the winter so I can retire at 34 years old, I'd keep my SWZ but it would have a few new stable mats like a viper, lambo, and new Ford GT.

I've had a 2006 C6 Z06, 2013 Grand Sport, and many more. I couldn't stand looking at the interior of the c6. So now I'm in a very nice C5, love the interior, and the overall look of the car.
That being said, I love the interior of the C7. Don't care for the Star Wars back end. With a HUGE windfall, I'd probably have a black C7 Z06 in the stable with the 2 Black Vettes I already have.
Einey, Meanie, Miney Moe......In whichever Corvette shall I go.....

Size matters...
If the windfall was a "money will never be an issue" windfall, then I'd keep the C5 and buy a warehouse to fill with cars. There are sooooooo many I'd love to have. And drive the **** out of.

I'd keep it. Have Foose, Kindig or one of the other Custom shops make my 50th extreme!!
Then, like others have said... build a huge garage and visit Mecum and Barrett Jackson a couple times to fill it up.

Collector cars can be a good investment (much like real estate). You need a place besides a bank account to keep all the money. Bank accounts are only insured for so much and earn low rates of interest. It is possible to make money owning and trading cars.
Driving exotics for free sounds like fun to me.
I assumed you meant power ball type winnings and not 10k on a scratch off.
Life is short and time fly's by quickly. I wouldn't see a need to sell my car even if I had a McLaren.
