Is my door actuator bad
So before I go ordering parts Im trying to figure out if its really my door actuator thats bad.
So only my passenger side has a problem. It will not lock or unlock by the key fob.
From the door lock button it will not unlock, but it will lock if the button is pressed.
Should I just be replacing the actuator or do you think that there is something else wrong?
Thanks

I doubt it's the actuator, I'm 96% it's the associated relay in the door control module. Well known problem. I replaced the relay on my driver's side module when the door could lock but not unlock via fob.
Actuators are simple, robust devices. Relays on the control module get old, break solder joints, or have contacts wearing out.

Actuator or Relay?
Mine is doing the opposite. The Fob will unlock, but will not lock the driver door. I’ve pressed the lock button and walked away many times leaving the car unlocked. The interior buttons work to lock and unlock. Actuator or Relay?

Actuator is working both ways with interior buttons so what would suggest the actuator is at fault?

True, so why would only the fob not work to lock it?? It was working with a few tries, but it’s not at all now. Passenger works from a distance, so it’s not the fob or battery.

You can't eliminate the battery. I had some lock issues that were fixed by replacing the battery.
