This bezel from Metra will be a great option for those who are looking for an inexpensive way to upgrade to a double din radio in your C5 Corvette.
We will note,
Metra produces these in the WRONG color and WRONG Finish for your C5 interior.
These will also NOT come with the cup holder lid AND will have a clip on attachment on backside for the ash tray portion of the bezel.
The stock finish on these from Metra is a smooth MATTE BLACK
We will be finishing these in TEXTURE AND PAINTING THEM for the price shown!
We will also be able to paint these in the 2003-2004 Medium Dark Neutral Finish for those with this interior option.

shipping costs are the same now or after march 1st so I can't do that I am sorry to say.

I have a 2000 with the Bose speakers. I would like to keep the same speakers but have a kenwood double din head unit out of my old truck.. What is the difference between the two install kits labeled to retain stock speakers available with the metra bezel? Thanks.

Does this require the climate control to be relocated or any other behind the panel mods at all?

Don't know for sure. But based on the look and comparing it to the custom bezels, yes. Most likely the same removal of the supports in the tower frame and you'll need to clip the plastic pins and elongate the mounting holes on the HVAC in order to drop it slightly.

NOW I understand! I removed both supports, but the deluxe brackets didn't allow the HVAC in. I cut 2 "ears" from the brackets and that allowed just enough room to keep from modifying the HVAC.

I can only assume that Metra has made a latter date on Denis.
None the less, there has been no follow up or explanation on the pre-order deal.
