I think I am a long ways away from a 10 second pass, but I will keep trying.

The car was never on a dyno, but my tuner said based on the amount of air that was moving through the engine it was about 430.

Great Job getting deep into the 11's! Make sure and stage as shallow as possible to get the best run at the starting line and improve your 60' and ET, and yes every 1/10 here will bring you 2 at the big end. Is this drag racing thing addictive? Gee don't know LOL been running this car since 2003 and a mid 10 second car 5 years prior to that.

Thanks for the helpful advice, I am assuming when you say stage shallow you mean as soon as the second light Lights up I need to stop right away and go no further? Man that car in the video leaves hard, what kind of 60 does it get?

that is exactly correct ~ by doing-so, you will have more of the front tire behind the starting-line beam, allowing your car to have more of a rolling-start when you clear that beam, and begin the Elapsed Time clocks:
this is called roll-out

if you creep forward several inches after lighting the 2nd / Stage bulb, the car has less room to travel & build-up speed before those timers start:
bracket racers who have slow-reacting cars will creep-in until the top bulb (Pre-Stage) goes out, so they can receive a quicker Reaction Time, at the expense of E.T.

Yes everything Glengages said, If you get serious about ET racing you want to stage exactly the same way every time for consistency. My Challenger's best 60' is 1.22, In 2014 I changed to a MSD Grid ignition which has many tuning parameters so now I 60' 1.28-129 depending on track as I am taking 10* of timing out at the hit for 1.2 seconds were it ramps back in, it is basically traction control and makes the 60' times deadly consistent. Cars best is 9.03 @ 152 on 91 octane pump gas with an all aluminum block/heads and 572" based off a Dodge 440.

This video is with the 10* timing out and staging shallow. Remember to bump in soft to put yourself at the same spot every time.

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I am going to spend some more $ and buy front shocks for the car. QA1 sells a double adjustable that will be perfect for the track and perfect for when I street drive it, best of both worlds.

Well I bought a set of front shocks, they are QA1 double adjustable, got them from summit. Hope they help me with some better weight transfer so I can be more aggressive with it out of the hole, maybe lower that 60ft some. Going to the track in 2 weeks.

Nice thread and numbers. Any new times?

Overall review of the Cam would be appreciated.

Yah I got the car down to an 11.3, that is my fastest pass to far. Here in Florida the summer heat is just to much, so we are not going to the track until probably October, so for now I have not really done any new mods, I am just going to focus on driving the car better and see where that takes me. If you want my opinion of the cam it's a great cam and makes great top end power, however for daily driving it can get a little notchy.

Those "sawblade" C4 rims actually look pretty neat on the C5.
