Default Axle Ratios , years available

My 2000 has a 3:42 differential ratio , I would like to lower it to something around 3:70 . I wonder if you can tell me what ratios are available in stock GM differentials , and what years of complete units will bolt into my (2000) Car ?

All of the 6 speed C5’s came only with the 3:42 rear. The Z06’s came with a 3:42 as well but the trans has different gears. All the auto C5’s came standard with a 2:73 with an option for a 3:15. So there is not 3:70 or lower C5 rear from GM. There are a number of aftermarket shops and forum vendors who can set you up with a swap in differential at 3:73, 3:90, or 4:10. There are differences in the cases regarding the number of structural ribs.
