Default Would not pass muster at a car show

She's getting older and wouldn't pass muster at a car show anymore, butt 107,000 miles and still looks pretty damn good in my driveway.

People with perfect cars at shows usually don't drive and enjoy them as much as people that have cars with a little wear. It looks good to me, and it'll always be a blast to drive.

I went to my first car show many years ago. I saw owners cleaning white lettered tires with Q-Tips. I saw local club official judges pick their best buddies for trophies. I was sure mine would never go there. Mine is a driver, not exactly a DD but not a garage queen or show car either. Beach sand, beer cans, and bugs on the windshield. Wouldn't have it any other way!

UM,
Don't see yourself short...you'd be surprised what a litte TLC and elbow grease can do.
Case in point, my 04 is no where near a Garage Queen and like you, it's not a DD either but I do use and enjot it. At the urging of a friend I put in a show last summer and got one of 5 Best In Show wins....I wonder if the sign I put in the window stating,, "Non Garaged / Not Covered all year, I use it and enjoy it" helped ?

Default Don't be upset-----car look's great!!!

These car shows are a joke----have a Vette, don't drive it and just keep it in the garage and trailer it to a show or whatever---WOW---how enjoyable is that having a Vette--in my opinion--they're pretty much rigged anyways---why waste the time to get a $10 trophy made in China---Steven

I enjoy the non-judged events. Besides, if you're in the show, you get a good parking space.

It's not about what other people think. It's all about how you feel.
Nice ride!

Replace those front corners and she'll look good as new!

Hey, what ever floats their boat... If they have fun doing that all the power to them. Otherwise we would not get to see a fantastic gathering of all kinds of cars all in one venue. As a gear head I love going to car shows, nothing better on a Sunday afternoon. My car is no where near show quality either, and never will be. I have an idea what it takes to garner a $10 trophy and admire their effort!!!! And so should you!

Car shows aren't for everyone, but they are a good place to hang out for a day, talk cars and meet new friends. So what if you don't win, you can still have a blast.

OP - your car looks good to me. Keep on enjoying the heck out of it.

Good parking is the best reason to participate in a car show, the rest is all just having fun...

I've had an aftermarket set on my 99 for 11 years now with no issues and they still look fantastic. My car is garage kept and barely driven from November-April, but still!

Car shows are a good way to meet people with different vehicles and have some fun. Entering the show means a great parking spot like stated earlier. My car has 92K on it and it's not perfect by any means. They get me out of the house and not vegging out in front of the TV. Of course you don't need to enter to have fun at a good show though.
