So this may be beating a dead horse but I wanted to post this fix in the event no one else has. I just completed a full component install with amp and thermal sound barrier and flip out head unit. In the process of pulling the door panels I snapped off the top of three mounting / anchoring mounts on the doors where the fastners/clips anchor (clip in). So, my fix was to buy the below clips on amazon. Use a drill grinding bit to grind down the door mounts center plastic strip that remains when you snap the top of the mounting surface off. You are left with a smooth surface. You then use a bench grinder to grind down/off the bottom platform of the clip so just the stem/shaft is exposed - about 1/8 of an inch is about what is left under the top platform (the clips have the dual anchoring platforms - see photos on amazon). you then use a drill bit the size/diameter of the remaining stem/shaft and drill a hole in the center of the remaining door anchor mount. You then use super glue (or you choice of epoxy) on both the clip and mount surfaces and stick the stem/shaft through the hole drilled in the mounting surface and you now have a solid anchored clip. with super glue mine was ready in about 15 minutes and worked perfect. saves the 20 mounting clip sold by southern car parts or zip. Its easier than the other fixes I have read on the forum and its solid.

I've had my door panels off my C5s more times than I can count and no matter what, I always break at least one white plastic clip.
