Question about HUD....
To those of you who have used a HUD enabled instrument cluster (late '99 or newer) on a '97 or '98 Corvette----Have you ever had any issues w/ your key fobs not working or calibrating to the car, wheel sensors or active handling ('98's) not working properly???? What I'm trying to find out is---if switching to a different instrument cluster will it have any negative impact on the operations of a older Corvette. I'm getting ready to install a HUD in my '98 and just want to be cautious. Thanks in advance. Bob....

I did the HUD install on my 98. There is absolutly no issues with this. All sensors work properly, key fobs, etc. Those functions are controlled by the computer in the car, not the instrument cluster. Go for it! You'll love this feature!

Seems like it's a fairly costly thing - HUD, and all the connectors and such (maybe another cluster)...and then a lot of hacking around on your dash...I'd probably finish with it being crooked.

Should have no problems. Your fobs are not controlled by the instrument cluster that I know of. You will like the HUD on the car.

I think you've got your answer but just wanted to say Good Luck! People either love them or hate them. Personally I love mine. I had two Pontiac GP's with the option prior to the Vette. My wife hates it and shuts it off when ever she drives the Vette (twice in more than a year )
