G92 Performance Axle, 3.15 ratio

I love my 3.15
I'm not sure what the deal is with guys not being able to spin the tires. On the south end of Honore Ave in Sarasota Florida it stops being a 4 lane road with a median and ends with a 50 foot section of road that is the entire width of the four lane and median. Last month I was out cruising and decided to go south on Honore to see how far they have gotten with construction. When I saw the huge area of nothing but asphalt I turned the traction control off, turned my wheels to the left and stood on it.
WOW!!!! The wheels were spinning and smoking and I had done a 180 degree doughnut in about 3/4 second. I went back the next day and did it again. I probably won't try that again until the day before I get new tires, but it sure felt good. (I know it was kinda stupid, but it sure was a blast)

Get the 3.15 gear!!! I just bought a 2004 CE last month with it and I got 26 MPG bringing the car back home from GA to TN. Friend of mine bought a 2004 with the standard gear he only gets about 1 to 2 MPG more then me and after driving mine he is wishing he got the perfromance axle in his. I drove his and you can tell a diff.

Chevy should only offer 3.42s of lower.. 2.73s and 3.15s are better suited to family cars!!
I agree; 'cept GM has to deal with the AlGore environ-mentalcase group that dictates this craap to us.

You'll get better off the line performance with the 3.15's. Better resale later too.

I has a 2.73. Recently upgraded to 3.15.
Definitely, more "seat of your pants" change.
Wish I had bought it that way, would have saved me some $$ in the long run.
