What's the best place to store my corvette?
...for the winter.
This is my first "Corvette Winter"...Your suggestions
are appreciated! I'm wondering if a standard storage
facility is the best way to go - is it safe enough? Etc...
Thanks!

Seriously, if you use a storage facility make sure they have a security system. You don't want to get the car out in the spring to find stuff missing or worse yet the whole car gone. If you have a friend or family with garage space, that would be the best way to go.

Do a search. There are a number of posts on this.
Put about 40 lbs of air in the tires and put a
VDC electronics Battery Minder or a Deltran Batttery
Tender Plus on the battery. Some stabil in the gas
would be a good idea.

Sorry not much help, we don't store cars in the sunny south, however, maybe you could find someone with a heated garage. Nope that won't work, that's were the snow plow is !
Good luck, hope you have an easy winter.

winter storage
Both of my cars stay out in the winter since I don't have a garage. I keep a good cover on my daily driver and two covers on the one I take to shows. I drive them as long as there is no salt on the ground. The cars look great come spring and I don't do anything with the tires or battery. But if you can get your vet under cover it certainly is better. Good Luck!

When I had a car and no garage I looked in the paper for a person with garage for rent. Ended up finding one and for 3 years during the winter it stayed there. It was great getting it out every spring. Good luck with the hunt. Buy some extruded styrofoam and cut bevels in 4 pieces that you can drive up on it will stop the tires from flat spotting. I bought 2" and it's light and durable. I have had mine for 3 years now. And get a battery tender to keep the battery good. Actually take the battery out and bring it home and put the Tender on there. There's my .02 Good luck.

You don't indicate what part of the country you live in...If you're in the Northwest, I've got a 3-car garage I'll share with ya...

I'm assuming you don't have a garage to store the car in, otherwise, it would be best to store it there. You may be able to find a storage place the offers spaces for cars/boats, etc. and hopefully they would be reasonable in price. Good idea to find one that has a security system so you can at least have some peace of mind that your car is protected. Be sure to check your insurance coverage - I know one of the questions I get asked is where is the car located at when it is not being driven. You sure would want to make sure it is covered.
