Default Can you just replace the rubber boot on the ball joint?

I just got through cutting the bushings on the front of my car and was taking one last look when I noticed some grease on the inside of the rubber boot on the lower ball joints. There is a little tear at the bottom on both lower ball joint boots. I pressed on the boot and grease came out. Can I just have the boot replaced or do I have to buy new ball joints? Thanks for your help!

good question

i tore the boots on my rear upper ball joints when removing for rear end swap
i will leave for now since i do not plan on riding in the rain, but somethin will have to be done soon, and it would be a waste replacing entire unit due to the rubber cover
i will probably degrease surface and touch up with silicone sealant for now

I'm not positive, but I think the a-arm ball joints are pressed into the a-arms. I've certainly never replaced one. The whole a-arm is just over a $160, so at the begining of this season I replaced my front a-arms and hence got new ball joints.

The tie rod end rubber boots can be replaced. I've done that.

You can buy C4 poly balljoint covers which supposedly fit.
