nice cop visit i hope
the other day while working speed enforcement i spot a mag red C5 going 77 in a 60. well since i was doing the state funded grant program working traffic on the highway and they want us to cite for 75 and up, i figured id at least stop it. well she pulls over right away and i introduce myself as an arlington officer and tel her the nature of the stop. she says she is in a hurry because this message just popped up on her dash about low tire so she is hurrying to get some air in it before it goes flat....i give her all the info about how to hit the reset button to find out how much air is in it (22 psi) and told her about when it was flat it woudl say flat tire and maximum speed blah blah blah. she seemed to be very appreciative about the info, and no she didnt get cited. just thought id share and if she's in this board, did u get it fixed ok?

Lots of nice LEOs out there. I was stopped while driving at 13 miles and hour in a 35 (yes - 13!) for "failing to stop at a pedestrian crossing". It was typical racial profiling - you get accostomed to it after a while. Anyway, while giving him my DL, he saw my pistol permit and he was all friendly after that because he knew that I was a Good Guy (it is not easy to get a pistol permit in CT - FBI background checks, fingerprints etc.). He ran my registration and let me off with a warning, so no hard feelings.
I never give LEOs a hard time, they have a tough job - why make it harder for them, and yourself?
So nice one, sebringsilver97coupe!!

This guy has got it! The help and information you gave her was a much more valuable experience then giving a ticket and being on your way. Glad to have you in Texas. Have a Merry Christmas and stay safe.

I didn't know that hitting the reset button would display the tire pressure. I guess I need to sit down again and read the entire owners manual. A couple of weeks ago I was leaving a restaurant on a cold night and my DIC indicated that my LF tire was low. I stopped and looked at the tire and it appeared to be fully inflated. After driving two or three miles the warning went off and the DIC showed 25 or 26 psi. I was really relieved because I didn't want to damage the tire. I was 30 or 40 miles from home. THANKS

PS - sebringsilver97coupe - great color and year choice, and thanks to you (and all other LEOs) for being there for us - we may not always show that we appreciate your efforts, but most of us do - those that don't have no idea what you go through in a day.

Nice way to handle the worries that she had. Plus, nice that you let her off.
