BUYER BEWARE///PERKEYS CORVETTES Rip Off...
Perkeys Corvettes of Cumberland Maryland, provides great embrodery clothing, if they will deliver it to you. I have been a very long time customer, and have notice the service getting slower and slower. This time I ordered four shirts totaling almost $400.00. I ordered them at Carlisle, August 27 2004 and was told by the OWNER the shirts will be no problem and will ship in 30 days. Well here we are only a few days from 2005 and still no shirts. I have called EIGHT TIMES, four of them left voice messages with now call back, the other four times talked to the owners wife only to get the response they will ship this week. Last call was December 17th when I was then told one of the shirts I ordered they don't make anymore. Were they going to keep this a secret and never tell me, can't they ship the patial order? After three times I have been told everything from the owner has been in the hospital to the discontinued shirt, still no shirts. Has anybody else experienced the same thing....BUYER BEWARE of PERKEYS.....NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE FROM THEM. I have spend thousands with them and never again, they will have to make this right.
What have been your experiences? By the way don't try to email, they have their firewall set to only recieved emails they recognize, others are returned to you. What a business.....

Collin - did you pay them for the shirts in advance? If so - did you pay with a credit card?
Seems to me that you have several methods of recourse, disputing on your credit card, contact the Maryland Attorney General - consumer fraud, the Cumberland Maryland PD, etc.
If you didn't pay them, then chalk it up to an unfortunate bad experience and thanks for the warning!

I hate when I make more than 2 attempts at calling someone and they dont return my call. One time, I can understand, people get busy. Even Twice I will let go most of the time. 3 times is my tolerance level. 3 attempts is totally unacceptable and implies that the guy doesnt have time for me.

If you paid with a credit card, contact the issuer and state you are contesting the charge if it has already appeared on your statement. You will have to jump through some hoops to get them to do anything, but at least you should not be out of your money. From August to now to do 4 shirts is

I've ordered from them in the past. Their product delivery just plain stinks. They'll give you a million reasons why their goods don't show up on time. If you want to give their custom made shirts/jackets, etc. for Christmas, you better order them in June. I've written them off a long time ago.

Send them a registered letter with return receipt requested.
In that letter give them 7 to 10 days to either send the merchandise or send a refund. If they fail to comply make it known that you will go to the Maryland State Attorneys office, the BBB and the local police, credit card companies ect... and also advise them you will file suit in Maryland small claims court. Then do it........you have to play rough sometimes.
