Oil pressure--30 PSI at idle?
Maybe it's always been like this and maybe I've never noticed it before but is 30 PSI oil pressure at idle normal? While driving the gauge reads 40 PSI. I have an '04 A4.
Thanks

What is your oil temp? As it gets hotter when you idle the PSI will drop...30 PSI does sound a little low...when my oil temp is up around 225 or so, it's still at least 33-35PSI.

Those are the exact same readings I get in my '04 A4 under normal driving conditions with a warm motor. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.

if u see the oil pressure going up day after day and getting into the area of "damn! that cant be right" then your oil pressures sending unit could be going (but in an 04, its unlikley)
